Here’s your first look at Call of Duty: Ghosts, coming from Infinity Ward November 5th.
Xbox One Not Always-Online After All?
Geoff Keighley of Spike TV says that Microsoft’s own Don Mattrick finally debunked the long-running rumor.
Also, don’t sell off your 360 just yet if you want to be able to play its library: Not unlike Sony’s PS4, Xbox One will not be backwards-compatible.
Stay tuned for further developments.
Check out some new concept art released by Bungie for their upcoming title, Destiny. The game is Bungie’s first since parting ways with Microsoft and getting on board with publishing giant, Activision. It is set to come to current and next-gen consoles, so far confirmed for PS3, Xbox 360 and PS4.
You’ve probably seen the Elemental Unreal Engine 4 tech demo before. However, here is the extended version of that demo running on the PS4 hardware!
Here are some new pictures from GDC (via The Verge) of the Dualshock 4 controller for the PS4. The pictures also include the new PlayStation Eye camera that recognises the light on the controller which has a variety of cool features explained over at IGN’s Greg Miller’s twitter feed.
For example, if you’re playing on the couch with your buddies, if you’re sitting on the right, the camera will auto-detect you and place you on the side of the screen according to your position.
The PlayStation Eye has two 1280x800 cameras and the Dualshock 4 touch screen resolution is 1920x900.
With the leaked Battlefield 4 artwork (left) appearing ahead of the game’s suspected GDC reveal, rumours are flying. 64 player maps are expected to make an appearance on consoles this time round, as well as there being three factions, the US, Russia and an Asian force. The Commander feature from Battlefield 2 is also rumoured to be making a return!
Assassin’s Creed 4’s debut trailer has leaked ahead of tomorrow’s scheduled reveal.
Note that Blackbeard refers to the new character as Edward Kenway, seemingly making him a relative of Assassin’s Creed 3’s Haytham Kenway.
It is by far the most powerful APU we have built to date.
The official trailer for the PS4 title, Killzone: Shadow Fall, has been released. The footage comes from the demo we saw but the voice-over sets up the game’s plot. Also, if you were disappointed with the demo, fear not, the game is rumoured to only be using 1.5GB of VRAM…in other words, a small amount of potential power.
I think from the off with PS4 architecture it’s going to be easier to get results.
