One is that we changed the game a lot in Resistance 2, and we surprised players in a way that perhaps wasn’t what was expected. And that may have not been a good thing. By changing up some of the core mechanics and— we got a lot of strong feedback when we did that.
We have no definitive plans.
Here are some fantastic screenshots posted by OPM UK for Resistance: Burning Skies. The upcoming PlayStation Vita title is set to be a true first person shooter handheld experience, arguably the first of it’s kind. The graphics are looking great as shown by the shots and it appears that developers Nihilistic have taken the reins from Insomniac Games quite competently.The game hits stores on May 29th (US) and June 1st (EU).
Here’s the official box art for the upcoming Resistance: The Trilogy. The game will contain all three of the PS3 exclusive titles developed by Insomniac Games. It’s a pretty cool bundle and will sport the orange Resistance 3 style art.
Here is the official Resistance: Burning Skies multiplayer trailer. Whilst we already learnt about some of the game’s multiplayer component via a listing on the PlayStation website, Nihilistic have kindly given us this trailer with some facts. Check it out.
Resistance: Burning Skies Multiplayer Details
The PlayStation Vita’s first proper first person shooter, Resistance: Burning Skies has had some multiplayer details revealed.

Whilst we’ve seen gameplay trailers of Resistance: Burning Skies, this is the first story trailer. As you know, you play as FDNY firefighter turned Chimera slayer. The game begins in New York City but as the trailer details, you escape to the mainland and fight. Could Tommy be looking for two people that have been abducted by the Chimera? Also, spot the potential Joseph Capelli cameo. We think it’s him!
Resistance: Burning Skies Coming May 29th
The PlayStation Vita iteration of the Resistance series, Resistance: Burning Skies, has been confirmed to be releasing on May 29th.

Shortly after news came that Insomniac Games wouldn’t be making anymore games in the Resistance series, the company’s CEO, Ted Price, released this video message. The message thanks the fans of the series and insists that the series is not dead despite it’s departure from Insomniac. Its expected that Nihilistic Games could take up some future projects.
Insomniac Games: No More Resistance
Insomniac Games, the creators and developers of the Resistance series, have confirmed that they will not be making anymore games for the series.
