Hideo Kojima has been hard at work with his latest projects and has been kind enough to tweet about them for us. The first picture tweeted by Kojima showed the world’s first screenshot of Metal Gear Solid: HD Collecion on the PlayStation Vita. The second showed off the new FOX Engine.

Here’s a video that we shot of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. The video features the Peace Walker demo. The game has taken nicely to the HD upgrade, oh and there’s Dualshock controls. Hallelujah!

MGS: Peace Walker HD TGS Trailer
Here’s a new trailer straight out of the Tokyo Game Show for Metal Gear Solid’s HD transition, however it only features Peace Walker. This is because Peace Walker HD is being sold as a stand alone game in Japan. Metal Gear Solid (PS1) is being included in the HD collection instead in the form of a redeemable code.
The original game came exclusively to PSP last year to critical acclaim. Now you can play it with online multiplayer functionality, in HD, and at 60 frames per second. Check out the trailer below regardless of it being in Japanese!

Hideo Kojima confirms Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection will feature online co-op. This was confirmed in a tweet earlier today from the legendary game developer.
“Final co-op on “MGS PW” HD collection. By using infrastructure mode connection (via PlayStation Network/XBOX Live)”
“4 people can co-op and it is 60 frames.”
The original version of the game on PSP only featured local multiplayer, but now distance is not an issue!

MGS HD: CQC Gameplay (SDCC 11)
Here’s a video of some off screen CQC gameplay of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection. The video shows gameplay of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
The hit PSP game comes to the PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year in HD. The gameplay features the Xbox 360 version and there are obvious changes to the textures on the environments and character models.
