I am working on a future Metal Gear, not to be released until next year summer at the earliest, if not later then that.
Here is the Gamescom trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The action spin-off set in the Metal Gear universe is being developed by Platnium Games rather than Kojima Productions. However, who else would you want doing a hack n’ slash game? The game is due out on February 21st 2013.
MGS 25th Anniversary Site
Celebrating 25 years, the Metal Gear publishers, Konami, have opened up a special site. The site seems to be teasing something with four boxes saying ‘coming soon’. Could these be some new announcements? With Gamescom rapidly approaching, we might have something awesome in store.
Check out these blood splattered, cyborg sword swinging screenshots of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The Platnium Games developed game is set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 and see’s the return of Raiden as a main playable protagonist in a Metal Gear game.
Could this latest teaser for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance suggest that Solidus Snake will feature in the game? As Metal Gear fans will know, Solidus was one of the Big Boss clones from the Les Enfantes Terrible project among Solid and Liquid Snake.
John Cygan, the voice actor for Solidus can be heard in the trailer. Raiden voice actor, Quinton Flynn, tweeted that he worked on a project with Cygan? Could we be seeing in this trailer the flashbacks to Raiden’s childhood, fighting in the Liberian civil war for Solidus?

With job listings posted on Konami’s site, Kojima Productions has made it perfectly clear that they will be making another Metal Gear Solid game. The question is, what is it? Here’s what we think.

Why were we there? I really can’t say.

We’ve only said that the period setting is several years after MGS4. Metal Gear Rising is not part of the Metal Gear Solid series. At present, we can’t say more than this.
