MW3’s Incredible UK/US Launch Sales
In just day one alone, the UK and US combined sales figure for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was 6.5 million copies. This has brought in over $400m compared to 2010’s $360m for Black Ops. This figure is expected to push the game into the record books as the most successful launch of any digital entertainment piece.
YouTuber ‘Robbaz’ has put together an excellent comparison video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The video compares the graphics for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. All versions appear to be near identical, however there is a slight noticable difference regarding the PC version. You’ll see.
Infinity Ward Caught Recycling COD4 Buildings in MW3
In a YouTube video posted by FinalLevelGames, a commentator noticed a building in the Modern Warfare 3 to be strikingly similar to a building in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer map, Pipeline.
We have less verticality in our maps, there are less camping points. And so the challenge for snipers is to hang back on the perimeter or the periphery and pick people off – the maps aren’t set up to really capitalise on that, by intention.
Call of Duty Elite Delayed for PC
Sorry to say PC gamers, Activision has delayed the social network service called Call of Duty Elite on PC. The delay will not hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the service which goes live with the launch of Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th.
