Check out the parts you should care about in the FOX Engine tech demo presentation from Kojima Productions. The next gen is looking pretty cool so far!
A pretty HQ screen-cap of the Metal Gear Solid V trailer has been uploaded. There’s a lot in there, try to decipher it! The game is coming to current gen and presumably next-gen consoles, as well as PC. Of course, its running on the wonderful FOX Engine.
Phantom Pain Confirmed as MGS V
Going from the trailer just shown at the Kojima Productions Live Event, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are, together, Metal Gear Solid V!

LIVE: MGS Ground Zeroes GDC Panel
Going live at 6PM (GMT London), we’re likely to see some more of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and Kojima Productions’ new FOX Engine. Could we be seeing a new trailer? Will the Phantom Pain mystery be solved?
The new Phantom Pain trailer, allegedly a viral marketing spree for Metal Gear Solid 5, gives us a clue linking it to the Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes debut trailer.
For a second, the bottom image flashes up in the bizarre new trailer, the same Omega symbol features in the Ground Zeroes trailer. Coincidence? Hideo Kojima doesn’t work with coincidence…
To be honest, I didn’t think we’d have it go this well. When I first asked Platinum Games for help, it was a pretty forced request, in that I felt if I couldn’t get them to take it then the project would be cancelled.
The final of what feels like oh so many trailers for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been released. The trailer itself is directed by Hideo Kojima and has dropped along with the North American release of the game today.
Despite a somewhat troubled development cycle, things are looking good for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, with notoriously-picky Famitsu awarding it a near-perfect score of 39/40, and Dengeki’s editors giving it an 85, a 100, and two 90s.
The latest in the Metal Gear saga, developed by Platinum Games in association with Kojima Productions, launches in North America tomorrow, February 19.
Do you plan to pick it up?
The Metal Gear franchise is certainly known for it’s cinematic experiences and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance bears no exception to the rule. The developer may be different but the incredible production values appear to remain judging from the new trailer!
Check out the full Tokyo Game Show trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in English. The awesome trailer originally released only in Japanese, allowing us only to take in the gameplay, now you can enjoy the narrative!
