Bigger is not always better. I hate the word ‘wow moment’ and I hate games that have wow moments every two minutes, because some smartass thinks it’s cool. Dead Space 3 looks (at least so far) like a perfect example of how to turn something interesting into something nobody will like.

Here is a new set of six screenshots for Dead Space 3. No matter what you may think about the gameplay, the graphics and environments are looking pretty damn fine. However, expect the debate about the level of action in the game to take centre stage up to the release in February.
If you are into weapon crafting, you can spend literally one hundred hours in this thing. If you want to explore all the beta-paths; if you want to replay with the co-op; it’s way more about choice in Dead Space 3: you can really spend a lot of time doing that.
Yet another trailer from the EA conference. This time it’s Dead Space 3’s turn. The game has finally received a definitive release date by the way. Whilst it may still be creating controversy as to whether it’s keeping to it’s survival horror roots, you’ll be interested to know the game comes out on February 5th in NA and February 8th in EU.
Check out this 20 minute clip of Dead Space 3 gameplay. The video has developer commentary from Steve Papoutsis of Visceral Games. It’s interesting to see the game in action, but what’s more revealing are the comments on the video. Whilst this specific mirror has largely positive remarks, others such as this one (through link), are slating the game and criticising how it’s not sticking true to the roots of the franchise.
Some fans have been upset by the more action orientated approach and new gameplay mechanics such as a cover system or universal ammo. Expect to see these areas become a topic of hot debate as more of the game gets revealed.
New Dead Space 3 Details
A set of new Dead Space 3 details have emerged, confirming some features that fans of the series may be uneasy about.

You need to get to audience sizes of around five million to really continue to invest in an IP like Dead Space
The official box art for Dead Space 3 has been revealed. The game is set for release sometime in February 2013. As the pictures show, Dead Space 3 will come to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. There is currently no Wii U version planned according to Visceral. The icy setting of Tau Volantis is clearly transferred to the art on the front cover.
Also from the EA conference, the much leaked and rumoured, Dead Space 3. Check out this incredible game clip of the game being played. It looks awesome and will feature a nice drop-in/out co-op mode! John Carver is the new character that will join Isaac on Tau Volantis in February 2013.
