GameInformer’s got the scoop on the long-rumored prequel to Rocksteady’s hit Arkham Asylum series, Batman: Arkham Origins: “As the title suggests, the game takes place years before both of the previous Arkham titles when a young, unrefined Batman encounters many supervillains for the first time.” Notably, Rocksteady is not developing this entry, having handed the reins over to Warner Bros. Games Montreal.
A handheld tie-in, titled Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, is being headed up by Armature Studio, and will release on Vita and 3DS alongside Arkham Origins (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC) on Oct. 25.

LEGO Batman 2 Tops UK Charts
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has topped the UK software charts for last week, stealing FIFA 12’s crown.

This little comparison image was put together for Batman: Arkham City. The shot compares stills from the PS3 and Nintendo Wii U versions of the game. As you can see, the Wii U version holds up pretty well. The Nintendo Wii U version, Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition, was announced at E3 with some awesome unique features.

The Batman: Arkham City DLC, featuring Harley Quinn, has received a new trailer. The content is set to release across all platforms that Rocksteady’s 2011 hit landed on. If you’re not up for downloading it, or haven’t yet bought the game, the DLC will come bundled in the upcoming GOTY edition of the game.
