Battlefield 3’s Back to Karkand expansion seems to be a basket full of Easter Eggs! This latest one was spotted on a hanger in Wake Island over at DSOGaming. Could the ‘2143’ suggest that the next Battlefield game will be a sequel to the futuristic Battlefield 2142? In Battlefield 2’s Armoured Fury expansion, Battlefield 2142 was revealed via in-game advertisements. Could it just be a bit more subtle this time?
An easter egg has been spotted over at MP1st on the Wake Island map for Battlefield 3’s Back to Karkand expansion pack. The tombstone thanks the players who have fought on the classic map in previous Battlefield games: Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1943. N’awwwh, thanks DICE, its been our pleasure!
In spirit of all the other trailers released, the team over at EA have released a fourth and final trailer for Battlefield 3’s Back to Karkand DLC. This trailer features the classic ‘Wake Island’ map which featured in both Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1943. The map has been given a Frostbite 2.0 makeover in the DLC. Excited!

Here’s a new trailer for Battlefield 3’s first DLC pack, Back to Karkand. The pack will come with a variety of Battlefield 2 classic maps remastered in the new engine. This trailer is pure gameplay baby! Beautiful! The pack will drop in early December.
