The price reduction is part of a planned lifecycle management program. As we’ve seen more consumers become interested in 3D, we wanted to open the monitor up to a larger demographic at a lower price point as the holidays draw near.

PlayStation 3D Display Priced for EU
The PlayStation branded 3D display will launch this fall in Europe at a price of €499. The announcement came at Sony’s gamescom press conference in Germany.
The TV will be bundled with two pairs of 3D glasses. The 24” display will allow players to game in HD and 3D. It also features technology which allows split screen to be viewed as full screen by individual players.
