Qriocity Free For 6 Months

Qriocity? Cry-o-City? Curiosity? We really don’t know. What we do know is that the service will now be available free of charge for 6 months for PlayStation 3 users. Qriocity is a music streaming service offered by Sony across various platforms such as the PS3 and their Blu Ray Players. Why the offer has arisen? We don’t know that either. One has to think that the service might just be struggling a little bit if they are willing to role out such a vast promotion for free. There’s something about paying to stream music that just doesn’t appeal to me for one, I don’t know about you guys. However, if its free for 6 months, I’m willing to give it a shot. It’s like turning down a free musical lunch if you don’t.

The service boasts over 7 million songs to stream directly to your PS3. The 180 day package will be available to those over 18 only. It is just a matter of going to the music section of the XMB menu and selecting the ‘Music Unlimited’ option to start the music. Its great for all of us that wouldn’t usually pay for the service, but I hope Sony have some sort of reward/plan for those who have paid the subscription who could now be getting it for free.
