Rumour: Starhawk Dev Faces Closure

With lay offs appearing to have hit Starhawk developers, Lightbox Interactive, rumours are suggesting that the studio may entirely fold.

George Boussard of 3D Realms has tweeted about the situation at Lightbox. Here’s what he said:

“Good luck to my buddies at LightBox in Austin. Layoffs and rumors of near whole studio gone by Friday”

Pete McKay of Lightbox also tweeted the following:

“And so another chapter closes on my life. Let’s see where I go next”.

The studio’s first game was the PS3 exclusive Starhawk. Despite positive reviews, it seems like the game hasn’t sold well enough, probably being the reason for the potential closure.
