Sony Announce New PS3 Slim
As anticipated, Sony have announced a new, smaller and lighter PS3 model.
The system is the same that appeared in the leak back in July. It is 20% smaller and 25% lighter than the existing PS3. This makes it 50% smaller than the PS3s that launched back in 2006/07.

Japan
- Classic White 250GB – October 4 – ¥24,980
- Charcoal Black 250GB – October 4 – ¥24,980
- Charcoal Black 500GB – October 4 – ¥29,980
US
- Black 250GB – September 25 – $270 (with Uncharted 3, $30 of DUST 514 content)
- Black 500GB – October 30 – $300 (with Assassin’s Creed 3)
Europe
- Black 12GB – September 28 – €230 (optional mount for external SATA drive, or can be upgraded with 250GB HDD)
- Black 500GB – September 28 – €300 (with FIFA 13)
Australia
- Black 12GB – September 27 – AU$300
- Black 500GB – September 27 – AU$400
New Zealand
- Black 12GB – October 18 – NZ$400
- Black 500GB – September 27 – NZ$520
