Wii U Dated & Priced For Japan
The Nintendo Wii U is receiving dates and price information today. Japan was first up, December 8th it is.

Announced via a Nintendo Direct conference, the system will be releasing on December 8th in Japan in two separate bundles. Here is the breakdown:
- Basic Bundle - White GamePad & 8GB console. Cost of ¥26,250 ($337, £209, €261).
- Premium Bundle - Black GamePad & 32GB console. Cost of ¥31,500 ($405, £251, €313).
- Premium Bundle also includes docks, stands and Nintendo Network Premium.
- Nintendo Network Premium is a scheme that offers 10% off software purchases and builds up reward points for future purchases.
- Subscription from the bundle lists through until December 2014.
- Both bundles include HDMI cable and AC adapter.
- Nintendo will offer the Wii U Pro Controller in black and white, a Wii mote in 5 colours, Nunchuck in 3 colours and all of the other accessories available in the Premium Bundle.
- Gamepads will be available for ¥13,440 - AC adapter and dock included.
- Wii U has 1GB of system memory and 1GB of game memory.
- 75 watts of power used, 45 watts in stand-by.
- Wii steering wheel, balance board, Wii games, Wiiware and Virtual Console games supported.
- Game discs are 25GB
- Game discs are read at 22.5 mb p/s
Expect a US and EU price/date reveal later today.
