PS Vita Gets Hacked
The PlayStation Vita has been hacked, allowing homebrew games. However, the developer behind it all has ensured that pirated games won’t be possible on his exploit.

The coder is Yifan Lu and the project is called Usermode Vita Loader. The origins of the exploit are, for obvious reasons, being kept a secret by Lu. The project is still in it’s infancy.
Lu has also clarified that he is ‘100% against piracy’ and has made sure no games can be pirated using the exploit.
“100% against piracy and no tool I will make will benefit piracy. This tool, in fact, cannot be used for loading backups/pirated content even if I want to because of the physical limitations of the exploit (it is userland, no rights to decrypt/load games).”
However, Lu has admitted that when the exploit goes public, it could be analysed by hackers to find ways to create their own piracy exploits. Despite this, Lu has said it would take considerable skill to do so.
