Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Announced
As expected, a new Final Fantasy featuring Lightning has been announced called Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
The game was announced at the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary celebrations during a special Final Fantasy XIII conference. Whilst it isn’t a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII-2, it is apart of the Final Fantasy XIII story.
Set to come to PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, some details are relatively scarce at the moment. Players will however be able to customise a much more mobile Lightning. There is also some kind of facebook integration which has yet to be detailed.
As for the story, it follows Lightning in a world with only 13 days left until the Doomsday clock destroys it. Lightning will be able to interact with plenty of NPCs and exploration is a major theme. The game will also have a day and night cycle to alter the world.
