PS Vita Stands at 2.2m Units Sold
According to the German site, Playfront.de, the PlayStation Vita has sold 2.2 million units to date.

Thanks to a somewhat dodgy translation courtesy of Google, the site claims that Uwe Bassendowski of PlayStation Germany confirmed the news at Gamescom. There are no other detailed sales figures other than that unfortunately. The figures are certainly disappointing as the system continues to struggle worldwide.
Bassendowski also admitted to marketing mistakes on Sony’s behalf. Bassendowski cites poor targeting to the young age group as one of these errors. Sony need to get their act together if they can rescue the potentially sinking ship.
