Resident Evil Community Service Announced

Capcom have announced a social community for Resident Evil 6 on ResidentEvil.net.

The site will allow players to check real-time stats of their friends and their own gameplay. The service will be available via a PC browser and on mobile devices. Stats will include things such as weapon use, enemies killed and high scores.

There will also be other features such as community unlocks. For example, if the community collectively reaches the killing of 10,000 zombies in a weekend, in-game content will be unlocked. The service will also introduce RE Points, a virtual currency which can be used to unlock items.

The service is free and will be available at launch.
