Rumour: Wii U Coming to US for Black Friday

A rumour posted over at GoNintendo claims that a GameStop employee has discovered that the Nintendo Wii U will launch around Black Friday in the USA.

Here is what was posted on GoNintendo:

  • Wii U is to release the week of Black Friday 2012
  • Wii U Pre-Orders planned to open next week
  • Certain titles such as ‘Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition’ are listed as $49.99 and are not estimates.
A picture was also posted:

Black Friday is always around the third weekend of November. This would put the console right in the perfect holiday slot. Also, there would be a massive draw to Black Friday sales, creating a large footfall at retail stores.

Whilst this does seem probable, Europe is another story. There are fears that it may not make the November release…
