Minecraft 360 Sells 3 Million

Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has confirmed that Minecraft has reached sales of 3 million on Xbox 360.


The news was announced via the Swedish developer’s twitter account. The Xbox 360 version has also been confirmed to have raised over $60m in revenue. Launching in May, the game quickly broke even as it sold 400,000 copies on launch day. 

Developed by 4J Studios, the game has been a commercial success and a half! Who would’ve doubted it though?
