RuneScape Hits 200m Users

Believe it or not, RuneScape still continues to attract many new users. So much so that it has officially hit over 200 million users.

What’s even more impressive is that at the time of writing, the game has 200,124,121 users. This means that over 100,000 more users have subscribed since the news broke just a few days ago. Pretty impressive for a 11 year old MMO. 

Jagex also provided everyone with some statistics about the game:

• If Runescape were a country, it would be the fifth most populated in the world.
• Since its 2001 release,more than 443 billion minutes have been played.
• 150 dragons are killed a day.
• There are 10 LOLs and 27 deaths per second.
• Every five-and-a-half weeks, enough wood is chopped to build a digital bridge to the moon.
• Every year, 8 billion fish are caught – enough to circle Earth 20 times.
