Rumour: Final Fantasy Versus XIII Canned
According to a post on Kotaku, the long awaited Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been cancelled.
Announced way back in 2006, the game’s release prospects have always been slimming each day. Despite several reassurances that the team at Square Enix are hard at work on the more action based title, this is the first report of cancellation.
A source close to the site confirmed that the game was internally cancelled a few weeks ago. With fans eagerly anticipating the game, Square Enix are apparently letting the game die quietly, rather than announcing anything. According to the source, Square are worried of effects on the company’s stock prices.
