Sony’s FY2012 Report Shows More Losses
Sony’s fiscal year of 2012 financials are in, it’s been another troublesome year.

The company has reported losses of ¥456.7 billion ($5.74 billion) in comparison to the ¥259.6 billion loss last year. The Consumer Products and Services division of the company (where the PlayStation brand lies) has suffered a loss of ¥229.8 billion ($2.8bn) compared to a profit of ¥10.8 billion last year.
PS3 hardware sales saw a dip from 14.3m units to 13.9m this year. Not surprisingly, the PSP and PS2 also saw a fall in sales. However, software for the PS3 has risen to 156.6m units, up from 147.9m units.
