Wii U Games Downloadable at Launch
Nintendo have confirmed that retail games will be downloadable for the Wii U at launch.
The company’s global President, Saturo Iwata, confirmed the news today at an investor’s conference. Games will be ready for download as they will be available in stores.
It seems apparent that only first party studio titles will be apart of the scheme during launch. New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS will also be a downloadable from the eShop. It seems like a step in the right direction for Nintendo, a company that lags way behind the PSN and Xbox LIVE experiences.
