Next Xbox Codenamed Durango?
According to the gaming site, Kotaku, the next generation Xbox is codenamed Durango.
Codenames are common prior to the announcement of a system. Durango is the name of one of Mexico’s 31 states. The south of America codenames have been common with Kinect previously being called Natal, a Brazilian city. Here is a history of recent codenames that we’ve known:
- Katana - Dreamcast
- Dolphin - Gamecube
- Vita - PS Vita
- Revolution - Wii
Durango has quite a ring to it, I wonder if Microsoft will stick with it like Sony did with the Vita codename.
