‘Hope’ for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 Fans

If you shed a tear when the news that S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 had been cancelled with the closing of GSC Gameworld, cry no more. A ray of hope has come amid the holiday cheer!

The official twitter account for the Ukrainian developers’ game tweeted something to be optimistic about. They clarified that there would be no news until January but ‘there is cause for hope’.

Could the studio be reforming elsewhere and picking up the project? Alternatively, the team may have found a suitable studio to pass the project on to. Lets just hope it doesn’t go to Platinum Games. Who knows what they’d call it…S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 : Revengefulness? That was a joke…

A subsequent tweet followed confirming that work on the series was continuing. Whilst we don’t know how it is possible and what the arrangements are, we’re over the moon.
