WP7’s Xbox Companion App Releases Tomorrow
After being announced a while back, the Windows Phone 7’s ‘Companion App’ is due out for release tomorrow. The free to download app will enable phones using Microsoft’s mobile OS to connect with the Xbox 360.
The launch of the app conincides with the Xbox 360 dashboard update. The phone will literally is a remote for your Xbox 360 with the ‘Control and Play’ function which lets you search the Xbox LIVE marketplace and control the dashboard remotely. The app will also have a built in bing function for searches.
There are also social functions such as checking out your messages, friends lists and recently played categories.
