Xbox 360’s Thanksgiving Success Story
Despite the bad news coming out of Japan regarding the Xbox 360’s Kinect camera’s sales, Microsoft are sure to be more than thankful after this year’s Thanksgiving week.

The Black Friday madness in the US has brought major returns for Microsoft. The company announced that they sold nearly 1 million units over the Thanksgiving week. 800,000 Xbox 360s were sold in a 24 hour period during the week, presumably on Black Friday. In total, 960,000 units were sold, along with 750,000 Kinect cameras.
“Xbox 360 was among the best-sellers at Best Buy this Black Friday, and is a testament to the continued popularity of the gaming category this holiday.”
This easily trumps Nintendo’s 500,000 units sold for the Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo 3DS also saw a 325% sales increase, a much needed shift for the handheld system. No word on Sony’s performance yet, but don’t expect it to be close to these figures.
