Hideo Kojima Twitter: Fox Engine & PS Vita

Hideo Kojima has been hard at work with his latest projects and has been kind enough to tweet about them for us. The first picture tweeted by Kojima showed the world’s first screenshot of Metal Gear Solid: HD Collecion on the PlayStation Vita. The second showed off the new FOX Engine.

The Vita image is quite grainy and taken off screen, so its hard to tell the quality.

However, of what we can see its Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and the lighting is pretty good.

The next image is another off screen shot of The Chrysaliss and Peace Walker from the PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, running on the FOX Engine.

Kojima jokingly tweeted:

They were so much bigger than I expected :)

The horse in the image is dwarfed by the giant Peace Walker. The model itself does look pretty detailed for what seems to be a quick render.

We don’t know much about the FOX Engine at the moment except that it supports multiple platforms. However, we do know that the Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection is coming to Japan sometime in 2012 and we also assume it will be out in the West.
